Telehealth Insurance Claims Soar
According to FAIR Health and STAT News, telehealth insurance claim lines increased more than 8,300% between April 2019 and April 2020 due to COVID-19.
Mental health remains the most common diagnosis, which was the case before the pandemic. However, conditions such as high blood pressure have also been reported at a higher rate than before the pandemic, which suggests that people are using telemedicine for some chronic diseases in a way they were not previously.
