Terms of Service Agreement

Terms of Service for Partners using www.hwcollab.org. Effective Date: August 19, 2024

1. Introduction

Welcome to the Health Workforce Collaborative’s digital platform, powered by Health Workforce New York (HWNY). By accessing and using our platform, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

2. Eligibility

Our platform is intended for use by individuals aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not attempt to register for our platform or send any personal information to us.

3. Stakeholders Covered

This TOS applies to all stakeholders, including but not limited to:

  • Healthcare organizations
  • Workforce development organizations
  • Educational programs

4. Account Registration and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information, including your username and password.

You agree to notify our digital platform providers, Health WorkForce New York, at [email protected] immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Consent to Data Tracking and Usage

By signing up for our platform you consent to allow the Health Workforce Collaborative and Health Workforce New York access your personal information and data related to your career progress. 

By signing up for our platform through a Partner Organization’s unique URL, you consent to allow that organization to access your personal information and track your data related to your career progress. This tracking may include, but is not limited to, career interests, educational milestones, employment status, and participation in relevant programs.

Your data will be used for purposes such as long-term engagement, promotion of relevant opportunities, tracking your progress, and reporting impact to grant funders. This data will not be sold to third parties.

6. Use of Data by Organizations

Organizations that access user data through our platform agree to adhere to our strict data use practices, which include maintaining confidentiality, using data only for agreed-upon purposes, and prohibiting the sale of data.

7. Communication Preferences

By creating an account, you agree to allow the Health Workforce Collaborative, Health WorkForce New York, and approved partner organizations to send you communications related to career exploration, planning, training, and support. You can manage your communication preferences through your account settings at any time.

8. Privacy and Data Security

We are committed to safeguarding your personal information with the highest standards of security and privacy. Any demographic information you provide will be reported only in aggregate form, ensuring your privacy is protected.

9. Account Termination

The Health Workforce Collaborative and Health WorkForce New York reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these TOS or engage in any activities that compromise the security or integrity of the platform.

10. Modifications to the TOS

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our platform. Your continued use of the platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new TOS.
