The Health Workforce Collaborative Receives Grant from Adirondack Foundation

Canton, NY – The Health Workforce Collaborative is proud to announce that it has been awarded a grant for Healthcare Career Pathways: The Institute for Career Advancement in Medicine (ICAM) from the Generous Acts Fund, administered by the Adirondack Foundation.

The grant will enable the creation of regional health career pathways that are interactive and mobile-accessible through a digital platform, bringing together students, job seekers, training programs, and employers to collaborate on the shared goal of expanding the healthcare workforce by fostering a sense of identity and community.

“We are honored to have the support of the Adirondack Foundation, which will allow us to continue developing ICAM, a human-centered initiative that empowers career seekers to explore health career options, map career pathways, and connect with educational institutions and regional employers,” said Richard Merchant, founding Board member of the Health Workforce Collaborative.

The Health Workforce Collaborative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was established in August 2020 by a group of stakeholders committed to improving access to quality healthcare by creating a collaborative infrastructure for workforce development in New York State.
