Into emergency medicine or just love games that test your quick thinking?? These triage training games are perfect for EMTs, paramedics, and healthcare students who want to get better at making fast, life-saving decisions during emergencies.

EMTs vs. Paramedic?

EMTs (Emergency Medical Technicians):

  • First on the scene in most emergencies
  • Provide critical care like CPR, bleeding control, and oxygen support
  • Administering key life-saving meds (like epinephrine, glucose, naloxone)
  • Stabilize patients and prep them for transport

Paramedics:

  • Have more advanced medical training
  • perform IV therapy and advanced airway management
  • use cardiac monitors and interpret EKGs
  • can give a wider range of medications

Both roles are essential. Both need strong triage skills. These games help build them.

Resources Link Description:

  1. Disaster Triage Game - free, interactive game focused on pediatric mass casualty scenarios.
  2. Triage'd - a tabletop card game for simulating mass casualty triage in a fun, hands-on way.
  3. Triage Game - online quiz game that challenges how quickly and accurately you can triage patients.

Wondering what to do next after playing the games?

If these got you thinking, "I want to be part of EMS" - you're not alone.

Click the Resource Link tab next to the Overview tab to explore the games and take your first steps toward a career in emergency medical services (EMS).
