Cayuga Community College: Rooted in Community, Reaching Across Regions

Cayuga Community College combines the warmth of its rural origins with the reach of regional opportunity, offering a welcoming, close-knit educational experience across two campuses—Auburn in Cayuga County and Fulton in Oswego County. With deep roots in the rural heart of the Finger Lakes, the Auburn campus reflects the college’s founding spirit in a historic small city known for its cultural legacy, scenic landscapes, and connections to national figures like Harriet Tubman and William H. Seward. The Fulton campus expands Cayuga’s presence into Central New York, serving a diverse student population in a riverside city recognized for its industrial heritage, strong community ties, and proximity to Lake Ontario.

As a proud member of the SUNY system, Cayuga serves approximately 3,800 full- and part-time students, providing a personalized and supportive learning environment that honors its rural foundation while embracing innovation, accessibility, and regional impact.

Flexible Learning Formats

  • Fully Online: Study on your schedule with asynchronous or live sessions via Brightspace. Labs use simulations or home kits; proctored exams offered on campus or approved sites. Some programs can be completed 100% online.
  • Hybrid/Web-Enhanced: Blend online learning with in-person labs or clinicals. Ideal for balancing convenience with hands-on experience.
  • In-Person: Traditional face-to-face classes, labs, and clinicals offered at both Auburn and Fulton campuses, especially beneficial for healthcare and technical programs.
  • Evening, Weekend & Intersession: Courses available during evenings, weekends, and winter/summer terms—perfect for working students or those with busy schedules.
  • Applied Learning (“AL” Courses): Gain real-world experience through internships, practicums, service-learning, or travel study in designated “AL” courses.
