Rural Health Exploration

The Rural Health Exploration Program (RHEP), offered by NAHEC, provides students with hands-on shadowing experiences with healthcare providers in their local communities. Through this program, high school and college students gain practical insights into healthcare careers, explore their passions, and discover diverse models of care. RHEP supports future healthcare professionals by fostering connections, delivering real-world experiences, and empowering participants to make informed career decisions while contributing to the health of rural communities. Applications are accepted year-round, making it an accessible pathway for those eager to explore the dynamic field of healthcare.
