NCCCC Bag of Tricks Care Management Forum: Why Not? How Healthy Boundaries Support Client Success The desire to do good may threaten client self-efficacy as care managers navigate ‘gray areas’ within their relationships. In this session, participants will explore their responsibility to set appropriate boundaries and its impact on client success. Care managers will identify clear, realistic expectations for their professional interactions while aligning with the requirements of their specific employer. Topics addressed include, but are not limited to, accepting gifts from clients, providing goods, addressing controversial situations, upholding legal and professional standards as well as other scenarios. Following this session, participants will understand the need and value of boundaries to proceed with confidence within healthy and supportive client relationships.
