The Brave of Heart scholarship honors the families of frontline healthcare workers who lost their lives due to COVID-19 by providing non-competitive education funding.
Who is eligible?
Children (26 and under), spouses, domestic partners, volunteer, or support staff whose life was lost in the fight against COVID-19
U.S. citizens or legal residents
Applicants need to have plans to enroll in an accredited program at a vocational and technical school, community college, 4-year college or university, or graduate school (if pursuing healthcare studies)
Non-traditional and returning students are encouraged to apply.
Award Amounts:
Undergraduate (Non-Healthcare): Up to $15,000/year | Max $60,000
Undergraduate (Healthcare or Pre-Med): Up to $25,000/year | Max $100,000
Graduate (Patient-Facing Healthcare): Up to $50,000/year | Max $200,000
Students without demonstrated financial need may receive a $5,000 one-time honorarium.
All eligible applicants receive funding. Awards are renewable annually through the 2026-2027 school year.
