Carol Fishman Cohen and Vivian Steir Rabin are both Harvard Business School graduates who took years off from their careers to have children. Cohen took 11 years and had four kids; Rabin took seven and had five. Both then returned to work–and hit plenty of bumps along the way. In 2007 they came together to form iRelaunch, a company that runs conferences, events and virtual coaching sessions for people ready to re-enter the workforce after a break. They have also written a book, Back on the Career Track: A Guide for Stay-at-Home Moms Who Want to Return to Work. Here are the seven steps they advise people to follow in order to re-launch a career.
