Community Health & Human Services A.A.S.

The Community Health & Human Services A.A.S. program prepares students to be compassionate, skilled professionals in one of today’s fastest-growing fields. Whether your passion lies in advocacy, mental health, addiction services, social work, or prevention, this program gives you the tools to create meaningful change in your community.

Our innovative curriculum and strong partnerships ensure that you’ll gain the real-world knowledge, certifications, and hands-on experience needed to succeed in a wide variety of human service roles.

Students benefit from fieldwork opportunities, resume and portfolio development, and guidance from experienced faculty and community partners. Through our partnership with the Mental Health Association in New York State, Inc. (MHANYS), allowing graduates to become Certified CarePath™ Coaches - a valuable credential in the field.

This program is designed for immediate employment in a variety of settings, including:

• Mental health and addiction services
• Community outreach and prevention programs
• Social services and advocacy organizations
• Human and family service agencies

While this program is designed for direct entry into the workforce, graduates can also transfer to four-year colleges such as SUNY Polytechnic Institute, Hilbert College, SUNY Cortland, Utica University, and Russell Sage College. Articulation agreements are in place with Bellevue University, SUNY Canton, and SUNY Buffalo State.
